Originally Mulberry Hawk had just two members :
Denis Chopin & Lesley Neesham (now Chopin)
Denis & Lesley met in 2002 and soon realised that their music was special to them.
They started recording that very year. It took them 5 years to complete their “Night Hunter” album investing every free moment they had. Their song “Eternal Cycle” from that album reached the finals
of the “UK Songwriting Contest 2007”.
In June 2007 Denis & Lesley were married. From then on everything just had to go right.
2009 would prove to be a memorable year.
January 2009 MH were joined by Gary Durance on percussion.
March 2009 the “Undercover” album was released.
In April of 2009 they joined forces with Alexandra G to cooperate on The L’Inconnue Project.
In September 2009 they again reached the finals of “The UK Songwriting Contest”
with a L’Inconnue song called “What lies beyond”.
This means, that out of over 6000 entries worldwide, MH were in the top 2%.
In 2010 they were joined by Mario Price on Violin / Fiddle
They are hoping that 2010 & 2011 will prove to be their most successful .
